Older Americans and their Plans
American adults love to be happy for the rest of their lives. According to my survey, it is obvious that most Americans want to have a rest and travel with their family after they retired. Some of them desire to live with children for a while and prefer live separately. However, I was told that it should be based on the situation such as disable etc. They would go and live anywhere they can find happiness even it is nursing home or country side. When I raised the question of “are you afraid of getting old? Their responses were of course, but they accept because it is what we are made of to be, and we cannot avoid technically. Generally speaking, based on my survey I could definitely say that Americans like happiness.

The situation of disability is well taken care by the US Government. I can observe they have a great facility who gives them priority over others, such a park lots, restrooms, hallway and in the cinema too.
ReplyDeleteEveryone hates to get older. Americans always say Asians look young! Anyway, it's undeniable that nobody wants to get older except those teenagers who are eagerly wanted to get it to casinos or bars.
I think not only American adults like travel. Everyone in this world like to travel instead of working all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt's true Eng Hwa. Although we don't want to get older, we still have to.
ReplyDelete@ Crytal: haha... You are absolutely right. My plan when I retire is to travel too, but let's see if I have that much money.
ReplyDeleteyou know what I have experienced? Eldery people in america do not really mind going into a nursing home because they don't want to disturb the lives of their children. They want to be depended on their kids. I think this is so crazy because their kids were also dependent on them when they were young! What is your opinion to that? HOw is it like in your country? Do you take care of your elderly relatives at home or do they have to go into nursing homes?
